The cuisine
At Dolomitenblick, a love of good food is a family tradition, but although we all enjoy cooking, we leave the kitchen to our fantastic chefs, Theresia and Walter, who spoil our guests every day with their dishes that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat.
To ensure you enjoy a healthy and balanced diet, in their ‘kingdom’ they use only genuine, sustainable local produce and, in the warmer months, herbs and vegetables from our own vegetable garden. And since we firmly believe that the best food is home-cooked, much of what arrives on your table is homemade by us: from traditional dumplings to cakes, from biscuits to jams and sweet creams, right through to the ever-present Schlutzkrapfen, the famous Puster Valley ravioli with ricotta and spinach. But the list goes on...
Lured by the tempting aroma of homemade cakes, you too will find yourself joining the other guests at the Dolomitenblick bar at teatime to satisfy your afternoon hunger with a slice of cake, a sweet cream dessert and other treats.
In the evening, we’ll delight you with a constantly changing selection of exquisite traditional South Tyrolean dishes, lovingly prepared by skilled hands. A true feast for the palate!
Dinner begins with a tempting buffet of starters and a colourful selection of salads and vegetables, followed by a choice of first and second courses. To cater for everyone, we also offer a vegetarian main course. Naturally, a delicious dessert or a scoop of ice cream is a must.
The perfect pairing with one of the fine wines from our cellar makes the evening’s culinary experience even more extraordinary. And to round things off in style, we invite you to sample one of our excellent grappas.
If you have any food allergies or intolerances, we are happy to prepare special dishes for you. However, please let us know as soon as possible, ideally at the time of booking and in any case before your arrival at Dolomitenblick.
