From walks to high-altitude trekking

Out and about in the countryside

The Terento area boasts over 100 km of hiking trails in close contact with nature, some of which pass right by the Dolomitenblick. Many are also suitable for families, such as the easy Mill Trail, along which you can admire all of Terento’s ancient mills and the famous earth pyramids.

If you love the sun and want to top up your vitamin D, we recommend heading up to Gols and Moreseck, Terento’s two ‘natural sunbathing spots’, which also offer spectacular views.

For the perfect combination of exercise and culinary experiences, don’t miss the many delightful mountain huts dotted across our mountains, such as the Moarhof, Astnerberg, Engl and Pertinger huts, from where you can continue on to the Giogo di Terento.

For experienced trekkers

Are you not put off by the distance and elevation gain? Then set off for Lake Pausa, Lake Campofosso or Lake Verde – magnificent alpine lakes set against a backdrop of mountain peaks. If you’re an experienced hiker and in great shape, you can also tackle the climb up Monte Gruppo, Cima di Terento or Cima di Pozzo and enjoy the thrill of a breathtaking view.

Places of interest in the surrounding area

For a change of scenery, you can choose from the many walking, hiking, trekking and mountaineering routes in the stunningly scenic areas of Plan de Corones and Gitschberg Jochtal, which are served by various ski lifts from May to early November. The nearby Dolomites also offer a fascinating outdoor playground.
