Skiing in all its forms

A passion for skiing

If you love winter sports, Terento and the Puster Valley are just the place for you. Whether you prefer wide or narrow skis, long or short ones, here you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained with downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski touring, whilst enjoying unique views and being close to nature.

Alpine skiing and snowboarding

In Terento, children and beginners can enjoy themselves in the snow and learn to ski in the village centre on the Panorama slope, which is served by a ski lift and has an attached ski school. If you’re a true fan of downhill skiing or snowboarding, your favourite destination will be one of the many ski resorts in the area, such as Plan de Corones, Gitschberg Jochtal, Speikboden and Klausberg.

Cross-country skiing

When there is enough snow, a scenic cross-country ski trail of around 7 km is prepared in Terento. Alternatively, you can explore the magnificent trails of the Puster Valley and the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco, the picturesque routes of the Anterselva Valley – also known for biathlon – the Valles loop, and the long trail on the Rodengo and Luson Alps.

Ski touring

Terento offers plenty of exciting options for ski mountaineering enthusiasts. We particularly recommend the ski tour to Giogo di Terento (2,405 m) and the ski tour to Cima di Pozzo (2,441 m), both of which offer breathtaking views. We recommend that you set off well-equipped, after checking the snow conditions and consulting the avalanche report. Remember to ask us for advice too, as we know the area like the back of our hands, and above all, always let us know which route you intend to take.
