Sustainable holidays
We care deeply about the future of our planet and have been personally committed for years to the mindful and responsible use of resources, adopting best practices and a few simple yet effective measures to ensure genuinely eco-friendly holidays.
In the kitchen, we use excellent regional food sourced directly from local suppliers, locally grown ingredients, or our own home-grown produce, and in our vegetable garden we grow the herbs that flavour your dishes, as well as a variety of vegetables. To limit the use of plastic, we avoid single-use packaging.
To reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, we have fitted the Dolomitenblick with a pellet heating system, using an eco-friendly fuel made from wood processing waste.
Sustainability is close to our hearts. The satisfaction of leaving as small an ecological footprint as possible guides everything we do on a daily basis. Through conscious decisions and treating nature with respect, we aim to help create a future that is both healthy and worth living.
Our own solar panel system
We cover half of our electricity consumption through our own photovoltaic system. In this way, we harness the power of the sun and make an active contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions.
Electric charging stations
Our electric charging stations for electric cars enable an environmentally friendly and particulate-free journey to and from your destination – for sustainable mobility right from the very start of your holiday.
Heating with pellets from South Tyrol
We heat our premises using pellets sourced from South Tyrolean timber businesses. This regional and renewable raw material provides cosy warmth whilst protecting the environment.
Eco-friendly cleaning products
We use only eco-friendly organic detergents and cleaning products to clean our premises – gentle on nature and pleasant for our guests.
Organic-quality textiles
Our table linen, napkins and bed linen are of organic quality. This allows us to guarantee the highest levels of comfort and sustainability at the same time.
Regional organic teas and fair trade coffee
We source our teas and herbal teas from selected South Tyrolean organic tea houses. The coffee is exclusively fair trade and is roasted by a South Tyrolean coffee roaster
Regional specialities
We make a conscious effort to use South Tyrolean products such as schnapps, beer, coffee, tea and juices. In this way, we support local producers and offer our guests authentic regional delicacies.
Crystal-clear mountain spring water
Crystal-clear South Tyrolean mountain spring water flows from every tap in our hotel – fresh, high-quality and with no need for transport.
Waste separation
Waste is consistently separated in our hotel and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner to conserve valuable resources.
Conscious use of towels
With the help of our guests in using towels sparingly, we are making an important contribution to environmental protection together.
Energy-efficient lighting
Some of our outdoor and corridor lighting is controlled by timers to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
Eco-friendly travel
More and more guests are travelling comfortably and sustainably by train. We are happy to offer a free pick-up from Vintl station to ensure a relaxed onward journey.
Opting out of additional room cleaning
On request, guests can opt out of additional room cleaning and thus actively contribute to reducing water and energy consumption.
Bath slippers on request
We deliberately provide bath slippers only on request to conserve resources and avoid waste.
No extra towels in the wellness area
In the wellness area, we do not provide extra towels in order to save water, energy and detergent – a small step with a big impact.
We also promote sustainable transport by providing you with the Almencard guest card, which, in addition to offering discounts and benefits, entitles you to free use of all regional trains in South Tyrol as far as Trento, local buses (including ski buses), certain cable cars (Bolzano–Renon, Bolzano–Colle, Postal–Verano and Vilpiano–Meltina), the Mendola funicular and the Renon railway.
You too can contribute to our efforts, for example by choosing not to have your towels changed every day, using public transport for your journeys and drinking the excellent spring water from our mountains.
