In autumn the hours of sunshine shorten in Terento whereas the landscape shines in beautiful autumnal colours ranging from bright red to yellow. This is the time when the cattle returns after four months on the mountain pastures down into the valley. A special day which is celebrated in the best way! Big and small wear their traditional Dirndl or Lederhosen, the leather pants, the cows are beautifully decorated with alpine flowers, bells and mirrors... and of course there's also live music, the performances of the Schuhplattler and "Goaslkrocha" and the local delicacies made by the peasant women of Terento. Arrived in the village, some small wooden stands offer farmers' products such as honey, speck and cheese. And of course there are many interesting stories that deserve to be told - remembering the beautiful summer in the mountains. Celebrate with us until late night!
