It's early in the morning. Terenten, still shrouded in the morning mist, the sun, still in deep sleep. At the Hotel Dolomitenblick we are already busy. A small group equipped with headlamps meets for a sunrise hike in the direction of Pertinger Alm, located above the mountain village of Terenten. The narrow path snakes its way uphill through the forest. However, the view soon opens up on the Pertinger Alm mountain hut. The route continues at the slopes overgrown with mountain shrubs. It is quiet, peaceful. Arrived at the summit cross, a sense of weightlessness and breadth is spreading. The view sweeps over the Pustertal Valley and allows a look into the depth. Behind the mountains, the first rays of the rising sun are already visible. Every moment is a pleasure. And then it is time... for sunrise in the mountains. Pure experience. A play of colours and without doubt an unforgettable experience.
It follows the short descent to Pertinger Alm. The smell of fresh coffee is already in the air, the breakfast as colorful as a painting. Homemade jams, honey, butter, home-baked cake, farmhouse bread, bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese ... The experience: unique. This is how every day could start. The fatigue is quickly forgotten.
